Perfectly understandable; I worry about that too. I've found that as long as people aren't explicitly saying "I only want [X CARD] for [Y SLOT]", if you have things to offer people generally don't mind if you make big requests, and for random trades if people only want to trade a small amount (eg: 2 or 3 cards) they'll say so. (To be safe for randoms I only ask for one or two cards ahaha.)
